The SCA3000-E01 is a versatile solution for sensing acceleration and gyroscopic movement. This evaluation board is designed to measure angular rate of rotation, angle of inclination, or linear acceleration, depending on the actual application. With its low power consumption and wide operating temperature range, this device is suitable for a wide variety of applications, from automotive control to mobile communication products. By integrating both an accelerometer and a gyroscope, the SCA3000-E01 can accurately measure tilt angles, roll, pitch and yaw.
The SCA3000-E01 uses a patented multi-sensor architecture which combines three accelerometers, two gyros, and a six-axis digital processing unit. This architecture ensures that the information picked up from the sensors is accurately fused together to produce the correct measurements. The digital processing unit uses an algorithm to adjust the sensitivity, dynamic range, and noise performance of the overall circuit, ensuring that results are accurate and reliable.
The SCA3000-E01 is a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope designed to measure and calculate acceleration, angular velocity, and the direction and magnitude of an applied force. The device is capable of measuring the 3 linear acceleration components (lateral, longitudinal, and vertical) and rotation rate in the x-y-z plane. The gyroscope measures and calculates the rotational motion of a body around its center of gravity.
The SCA3000-E01 is able to sense and measure angles of inclination using a combination of gyroscopic and accelerometric measurements. The ability to measure inclination is useful in applications such as user interface, motion detection, and navigation. The gyroscopic sensor detects angular rate while the accelerometer detects acceleration in the body\'s acceleration frame. Information from these sensors is fused together using an algorithm to calculate and report the relative change in angle of inclination.
The SCA3000-E01 can also measure linear acceleration and vibration. The device can detect linear acceleration in three planes and outputs the data in a unit of m/s2. The device can also measure vibrations in the x, y, and z planes and report them as Hz. Data from both accelerometers and gyroscope can be used to detect vibration in a particular environment.
The SCA3000-E01 is powered by a single 3V lithium coin cell and consumes only 8µA of current in operation, making it ideal for battery-operated systems. It is operational from -40°C to +85°C to meet different environmental requirements. The device is also certified to the MIL-STD-202G standards for shock, vibration, and thermal shock.
