SI53102-A3-GMR is a clock generator for use within high-speed transmission applications, designed to contain all the necessary components for a complete clocking system solution. It features both low jitter and low power consumption for a range of optical module designs. The SI53102-A3-GMR is ideal for applications such as 10 Gb/s Ethernet and 10 Gb/s Fibre Channel.

The SI53102-A3-GMR meets the latest EMC requirements and is compliant to the latest requirements as set out in the ITU-T G.729 and G.726 communications standards. It also meets the SONET/SDH adaptation layer requirements as set out in GR-209-CORE.

The SI53102-A3-GMR consists of four components: the CMOS Clock Generator, the Digital PLL, and two clock dividers. The CMOS Clock Generator produces a base frequency of 15MHz. The Digital PLL circuit is used to generate a continuously adjustable clock frequency from 0.7MHz to 15MHz. The two clock dividers are integrated to divide the clock signal down to frequencies of 19.2KHz, 1KHz and 0.2KHz.

The SI53102-A3-GMR has many advantages, including low power consumption and light weight. It is suitable for short-distance and long-distance transmission applications, and can eliminate the costs associated with external clock oscillators. In addition, it is low-jitter and able to support high data rate transmission.
