The SI5326B-C-GMR is a high-performance, flexible clock generator from Silicon Labs. This integrated temporal device is capable of generating clock outputs, from a single reference, that are tailored to a wide range of applications. It offers market-leading features such as up to six outputs, up to 1 Mbps frequency range, and Precise Frequency Synthesis (PFS) technology, which is an innovative feature that allows for fine control of output frequencies from a single reference.

The SI5326B-C-GMR is ideal for applications where multiple precision clock sources are needed, such as medical instrumentation, industrial automation, and test & measurement. It can generate up to six outputs, which allows designers to distribute different clock frequencies to each component in a system.

The device supports a variety of external reference inputs, including LVCMOS, LVDS, CML, and RL series. This allows the SI5326B-C-GMR to be used with a variety of system clock sources, such as crystal oscillators, MEMS oscillators, VCXOs, and TCXOs. The device can generate clock frequencies up to 1 MHz, with a maximum jitter of 0.7ps (rms) and a maximum integrated jitter of 0.4ps (rms).

The SI5326B-C-GMR is powered using a 3.3V supply and can operate across an extended temperature range from -40 degrees Celsius to + 85 degrees Celsius. It is based on Silicon Labs’ Precise Frequency Synthesis (PFS) technology, which offers fast switching between different configurations and fine control of output frequencies. It integrates two independent voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) generators, allowing it to generate output clocks with frequencies ranging from below 1 MHz to 20 MHz.

The SI5326B-C-GMR features an integrated oscillator-monitoring circuit that provides information about the status of the reference inputs. The device also includes an incomparator input monitor and several other features, such as clock-enable, selectable synchronous/asynchronous load control, and enable/disable of outputs.
