The SI5327D-C-GMR is a high-performance clock generator and synthesizer that is capable of providing multiple output clocks, either manually or by programming. It is equipped with a fully integrated Global Master Reference (GMR) and provides the ability to generate synchronous clock outputs from a 12V external reference input, using minimal external components.The SI5327D-C-GMR has many applications, ranging from consumer consumer and automotive electronics to communications networks. In consumer electronics devices, it can be used as a clock generator for Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) and High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) applications. It can also be employed for media streaming in TV, and digital audio applications, such as for transmitting digital audio over optical fiber.In automotive electronics applications, the SI5327D-C-GMR can be used to generate more optimized timing solutions for radar and autonomous vehicle systems. It can also be used to construct Gigabit Ethernet systems, by providing important Serializer/Deserializer (SERDES) clocking functions.The SI5327D-C-GMR can also be used in communications networks such as fiber-optic transmission systems and echo-cancellation systems. This technology can also be employed in component parts for electrical accessories used in Internet Protocol (IP) telephony systems. In communication systems, the SI5327D-C-GMR can be used to generate the clock signals from a single reference source, by utilizing Frequency Synthesizer (FS) PLLs and other versatile processing. This Multiplication Architecture Clock Generators (MACG) has multiple PLLs and is designed for a variety of combinations of external crystal oscillators, FPGA logic clock dividers, and SERDES devices. The device utilizes a combination of Programmable Delay (PD) elements and Global Master Reference (GMR) circuits to reduce clock timing jitter, ensure synchronous operation, and optimize system design margins. It also has the ability to synchronize the external reference source to its own internal reference source.The SI5327D-C-GMR is also highly flexible, allowing engineers to quickly implement their timing solutions. It has programmable features such as delay control, input signal termination, slew control, and bit field programming.
