The SI5332B-C-GM1R clock generator is an ideal solution for any designer’s need for a reliable, low-cost and low-power clock generator solution. This clock generator works off of a wide range of input frequencies and generates an output frequency to any one of seven options on its single output.
The SI5332B-C-GM1R uses a PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) to synthesize output frequencies from a single input frequency. With the low power draw and the wide range of input frequencies, the SI5332B-C-GM1R is an ideal solution for applications in communications, industrial, consumer, automotive and other applications requiring a wide range of high-speed clock sources.
The PLL within the SI5332B-C-GM1R automatically locks the incoming clock signal, which essentially removes any jitter, phase noise, and other timing inaccuracies from the reference signal. This enables the device to track and synchronize to the source signal more accurately, leading to improved performance and a more reliable output frequency.
The SI5332B-C-GM1R features seven main pre-programmed clock frequencies, each of which can be adjusted to a slightly lower (or higher) frequency when needed. These pre-programmed frequencies cover a wide range of customer applications from 10 MHz to 233 MHz and include both differential and single-ended output formats.
In addition to the pre-programmed frequencies, the SI5332B-C-GM1R also offers several Frequency Synthesizer (FS) modes. By using the FS mode, users can obtain an output frequency that is not possible to achieve with the regular pre-programmed frequencies. This makes the SI5332B-C-GM1R very versatile and ideal for applications that require specific and/or specialized output frequencies.
