The SI5335A-B02419-GMR is a clock generator, phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer, and clock/timing solution with a wide variety of integrated features and functions. It can provide a low-jitter, low-noise clock for multiple applications requiring either a direct clock source or a frequency synthesized solution. As a clock generator, the SI5335A-B02419-GMR can provide a low-jitter, low-noise master clock for applications that require a high-performance, low-noise clock. It can also be used as a frequency synthesizer, providing a low-jitter, low-noise clock for applications such as precision clocking, transceiver systems, RFID readers, and wireless applications.The SI5335A-B02419-GMR features an advanced low-power, high-performance architecture that enables it to generate clock and frequency synthesized solutions with low jitter performance and very low power consumption of just 1.3 mW. The SI5335A-B02419-GMR also has enhanced system integration capabilities, making it easy to integrate the device into existing systems with minimal additional components. It can be programmed using an I2C compatible serial interface.The SI5335A-B02419-GMR contains a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that is designed to generate a high-performance, low-noise clock signal. The VCO can be programmed to generate a reference clock signal with a frequency range of 5 MHz to 300 MHz. This can be used as a source clock for the frequency synthesizing circuit. The frequency synthesizing circuit generates a range of output frequencies (depending on settings and components used) from 10 Hz to 1.5 GHz. This low-jitter, low-noise output signal is suitable for high-speed timing and clocking applications.The SI5335A-B02419-GMR is a complete system that includes two low-power, high-performance frequency synthesising circuits. The first, called the “X-Phase” circuit, is designed for operation with low-frequency sources and enables frequency synthesis up to 500 MHz with very low power consumption. The second, called the “Y-Phase” circuit, enables frequency synthesis from 500 MHz to 1.5 GHz with very low power consumption.In addition to its clocking and frequency synthesising capabilities, the SI5335A-B02419-GMR also offers a range of features specifically designed for effective phase-noise control. These features include phase-frequency detectors, digitally programmed phase alignments, and advanced digital frequency compensation. These features, combined with the device’s small size and low-power architecture, make it well-suited for high-speed, high-performance system designs.The SI5335A-B02419-GMR is a highly integrated clock-generator and frequency synthesizing solution, ideal for a wide range of consumer, communication, instrumentation, and industrial applications. It can be used in various applications, such as mobile communication base stations, GPS receivers, satellite receivers, instrumentation, high-speed networking systems, server platforms, embedded systems, and more.
