SI5335B-B05157-GM is a high-performance clock generator and fanout buffer, part of the ClockBuilderTM Pro family from Silicon Labs. The device offers up to 21 outputs, selectable LVDS or LVPECL, and two different configurations ( SI5335B-B05157-GM and SI5335B-B05809-GM) are available.

The SI5335B-B05157-GM is designed for applications with high-speed signal requirements such as routers, switches, high speed serial backplanes and board clock distribution. It has a wide operating temperature range and can interface with numerous external crystal oscillators to achieve optimal design flexibility. The device can source up to eight differential clock signals and provide up to 13 zero-delay buffered (ZDB) differential clock outputs with selectable dual output (DO) and single-ended (SE) buffers.

The SI5335B-B05157-GM\'s ultra-low power consumption of <200 mW makes it suitable for incorporation into a variety of clock applications. In addition, the SI5335B-B05157-GM offers the best-in-class jitter performance, making it suitable for communications, computing, and industrial control and test systems. Silicon Labs is the only supplier offering integrated jitter attenuator technology as part of the device.

The SI5335B-B05157-GM generates a high-frequency master oscillator signal and distributes it to the outputs via an integrated phase-locked loop (PLL). The output operating frequency can be determined by the PLL settings and by the input frequency of an external crystal oscillator. The device supports frequencies ranging from 150kHz to 400MHz while maximum clock division of 12,288 allows the output clock to run as low as 122.07 kHz.

The SI5335B-B05157-GM also comes with an integrated non-volatile random-access memory (NVRAM), which allows users to program the device with an optimized configuration. This feature eliminates the need for an external EEPROM for storing and retrieving settings.
