It includes current-drive circuitry to support varying output power levels. The working principle of the SI5335B-B06245-GM is based on the output of a PLL, controllable with the serial or the Fixed Frequency Output Configuration Interface. This interface uses an external reference oscillator, which will be used as reference and input in the PLL. The external reference clock is then passed through a divide-by-N/divide-by-N+1 divider to generate the nominal frequency. This frequency is then multiplied by the internal multiplier and is phase shifted to form the desired output frequency. As a result, the output clock can be phase shifted or jittered according to the application requirements.The PLL inside the SI5335B-B06245-GM also consists of internal loop components such as the VCO, phase detector and loop filter, whose functions are to track and maintain the output frequency. The VCO is an oscillator circuit whose output frequency can be changed across a wide range. The phase detector compares the phase/frequency of the reference signal to the VCO output then generates a differential voltage signal that is proportional to the phase difference between the two signals. The loop filter then performs a low-pass filtering of the output from the phase detector to form a closed loop.
