The SI5335D-B04217-GM is a Clock/Timing - Clock Generators, PLLs, Frequency Synthesizers device, and it is widely used in IEEE 1588, SyncE and Ethernet timing applications, as well as othergeneral-purpose high-frequency synthesizer applications related to telecommunications, industrial automation, medical and military.
The device consists of a Voltage-Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO), a programmable PLL, dividers and a PWM output divider. It can be used to generate reference clock signals of up to 900 MHz, with low jitter and low phase noise.
The SI5335D-B04217-GM is capable of precisely controlling and generating multi-frequency signals to enable higher clock accuracy and clock management. It can also be used to improve system performance and reduce clock inaccuracy.
The working of the device is based on the principle of voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) and PLL (phase locked loops). The VCXO output is then fed into the PLL.
