Working Principle

The SI5335D-B06487-GMR uses a fractional rate synthesis technique called Delta-sigma frequency synthesis to generate multiple, on-demand frequencies directly from a low-cost crystal. This technique has the ability to take a single crystal reference, such as 24 MHz, and generate frequencies up to 125 MHz with very low jitter and low phase noise. The device contains an Internal Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) as well as comprehensive phase-locked loop (PLL) circuitry.
