The SI5338Q-B04075-GMR is an integrated clock generation device designed for use in a varity of communications and computing systems. It is part of a family of integrated clock devices from Silicon Labs that offer advanced synchronization, phase and frequency detection, loop control, jitter attenuators and phase aligned clock output. The SI5338Q-B04075-GMR is well suited for applications in networking, digital communication transmission, machine control, and medical imaging. Its on-chip phase alignment, automatic clock domain synchronization and synchronization between multiple links of a computer bus result in lower system power and improved system performance.

The SI5338Q-B04075-GMR clocks are divided into external oscillator and crystal oscillator modules. The external oscillator module includes a low-jitter crystal oscillator and vibration-resistant clock module. The external oscillator is driven by an internal regulator. The crystal oscillator module includes a Phase Locked Loop (PLL) and a Delay Locked Loop (DLL). The PLL is used to generate a high-frequency output clock with low jitter and low-phase noise. The DLL is used to generate the output clocks at frequencies related to the reference frequency.

The clock output of the SI5338Q-B04075-GMR can be digitally programmed to match the required output frequency.
