Working Principle

The SI5350A-B01893-GTR is a low jitter, low power and low EMI clock generator that can generate different output frequencies from a common input clock. It utilizes a single crystal oscillator (XO) as the reference clock and has an integrated GTR timing reference for low EMI. The GTR output is used within the IC to derive four differential clocks, as well as a single-ended clock. Each of these clocks can be adjusted independently via the I2C interface.

The user can select the input and output frequency range, the jitter performance, output skew, slew rate and rise/fall time through the I2C interface. The user can also enable or disable the GTR output, enable or disable the frequency synchronization and use selectable Output Enable/Disable (OE/OD) modes.
