The SI5394P-A-EVB Application Field and Working Principle
The SI5394P-A-EVB is developed to greatly simplify evaluation of the production-proven Si5394P clock generation device. Featuring a low-frequency programmable reference input, it provides a synthesized clock output suitable for high-speed applications. Additionally, the EVB board provides a graphical user interface (GUI) allowing users to adjust output frequency settings using a graphical, concise and intuitive control panel.
The SI5394P-A-EVB uses a Si5394P Clock Generator as the main component, which is developed with an integrated core voltage regulator, a frequency synthesizer for ultra-low jitter on PECL, LVDS, LVPECL and other demanding precision clock requirements and an 8-bit 12-bit serial interface for programming the clock generator. With the Si5394P, designers are able to get excellent flexibility with the wide range of applications, such as automotive, industrial, communications, military, medical, and aerospace.
The Si5394P device is designed to offer low phase jitter, low latency settling time, low input jitter sensitivity, and can be programmed for both small and large output frequency steps. This extensive range of features substantially simplifies the time-consuming process of adjusting PLL frequency control parameters. Additionally, the included GUI allows users to quickly and easily programming the desired output frequency settings for each clock output port.
