Working Principle
The SI9122ADLP-T1-E3 is based on the non-isolated Buck topology, and works as a DC/DC switching convertercontroller. The main difference between this device and other Buck controllers is that it is able to automatically adjust the output voltage range depending on the input voltage, enabling efficient operation over a wide range of input voltages. This feature is enabled by the multi-level control loop, which works as follows:
- The voltage feedback loop first sets the output voltage of the device by comparing the reference voltage with that of the output voltage.
- The current limit circuit then sets the peak and valley currents of the device.
- Finally, the Linear Regulator sets the quiescent current to regulate the output voltage of the device.
