SIP2801DY-T1-E3 is a high-performance synchronous 3-phase buck dc-dc controller that simplifies the design of multi-channel regulated power architectures. It integrates three-phase PWM to drive synchronous N-channel MOSFETs or IGBTs to reduce Total R KVA System losses while boosting reliability, thus reducing board costs.Application Field

SIP2801DY-T1-E3 consists of three-phase common mode controller and dual-level synchronous driver that generates three-phase voltage waveform of fixed total side length and duty cycles across each switch. It further contains an accurate OR-and gate for tracking of signal transitions and an on-chip power-on management system to minimize power loss.The first level of switching is completed by the controller which produces a signal that alternates between the two legs of the synchronous N-channel MOSFETs or IGBTs in a pattern which forms the three-phase voltage waveform with a fixed total side length.The second level or the on/off of the MOSFETs or IGBTs is then based on the ON/OFF of the dual-level synchronous driver which receives the signal from the controller. The output waveform generated at the terminals is then used to control the output power of the system.To ensure a stable output power, the SIP2801DY-T1-E3 also contains a sensing circuit which provides the control loop with information regarding the output voltage waveform and current waveform. The information is then used by the controller to correct the output waveform as needed and regulate the total power, thus ensuring a stable output power.Additionally, an on-chip power-on management system minimizes power loss. When powered on, it prevents excessive current from flowing through the switches by controlling power applied to them, thus reducing power-on surges.Conclusion
