SKY67014-396LF-EVB is an evaluation and development kit, board which mainly serves the purpose of evaluating, verifying the performance of the leading-edge RF product designed with Skyworks’ high-performance power amplifiers (PAs). This evaluation kit can also be used for prototyping and development. It was optimized for LTE/WCDMA/GSM and other high-capacity cellular band applications.The kit consists of the following components:•A scorecard, including various components, such as the antennas, cables, and filters necessary to test the performance of the product•A board, with 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz PA integrated with a switchable front-end filter that is tailored to optimize the wireless performance•Supporting evaluation software which helps with testing and debugging of the designThe engineering effort required for optimized performance, scalability, and reliability of the device are minimized with the help of the Skyworks’ automatic gain control (AGC) capabilities. As a result, it is now easier to achieve optimal power level over a wide range of conditions and frequencies.The Skyworks\' evaluation kit is able to accurately measure and analyze the performance of the product under test, as all the components have been designed to be precisely tuned to the customer’s specifications. In addition, the kit provides the ability to test under different operating conditions.To test the performance of the product, the kit must be assembled and connected to the PA circuitry with an appropriate DC power source. Once the kit is connected, the evaluation software helps to properly configure the device and begin the testing procedure.The software provides numerous parameters that can be adjusted to help optimize the performance of the device. It also provides several graphs that allow for viewing of the performance of PA devices under different conditions.The kit also includes a scorecard which contains all the components necessary to measure the performance of the product under test. This includes items such as antennas, cables, switches, and filters.
