Working Principle

SKY65049-360LF is designed with a single stage low noise amplifier (LNA) and two stages of high-power power amplifiers (PA). Its overall gain is adjustable from 0 to 30 dB, with excellent power linearity of +25 dBm or more, and linearity of about 10 dB, depending on the operating frequency. The input and output ports are matched to 50 ohm impedance for low reflections. It operates in a current mode, with low-power consumption of relatively low power levels.

The LNA portion of the circuit is controlled by a combination of PMOS and NMOS transistors to provide the power required to achieve low noise.
