The SL15300ZC is an advanced clock generator device from SiTime Corporation. This highly precise, low-phase-noise clock generator offers precise fractional frequency synthesis and is ideal for a wide range of applications where extremely low-jitter is needed, such as high-end networking, server, and storage equipment, medical imaging, test and measurement equipment, and military applications. The SL15300ZC is available in a variety of packaging options, including both through-hole and surface-mount packages.
The SL15300ZC works by combining an ultra-stable oscillator, a programmable-gain amplifier, and a fractional-N frequency divider. The oscillator is a quartz-based design which is pre-calibrated at the factory to provide a very low-jitter, high-precision frequency signal. This signal is then amplified by the programmable-gain amplifier before being divided down to the desired output frequency by the fractional-N frequency divider. The programmable-gain amplifier can be adjusted to ensure that the output signal is always suitably clean and noise-free for the application.
The SL15300ZC can generate a wide variety of frequencies, ranging from 1 Hz to 100 MHz. It can also accept a wide range of input frequencies from 10 MHz to 133 MHz, allowing for a great deal of flexibility. The device also offers a broad range of output jitter and phase noise specifications, making it suitable for a variety of applications.
