The SL23EP04SI-1HT is a highly versatile, low-cost Silent SwitcherTM frequency synthesizer. Designed to meet the challenges of a vast range of applications, the synthesizer features pin-programmable precision frequency synthesis and high closely related frequency accuracy up to 6.25 GHz. It is the ideal tool for a variety of functions including low-jitter clock distribution, low-noise and level-shifted signal generation, PLL control and clock and data recovery.
The SL23EP04SI-1HT is based on a digitally controlled analog oscillator (DCO) and uses various frequencies across the RF spectrum to allow an audible source frequency to be converted into a digital signal. This signal is then used to synthesize the various output frequencies needed by the application.
The SL23EP04SI-1HT is designed to provide the user with flexibility and wide frequency tuning range. It offers two operating modes – two-wire or four-wire I2C serial interface – which enable pin-programmable precision frequency synthesis and closely related frequency accuracy, as well as enhanced signal quality and output power. The SL23EP04SI-1HT also offers pin-selectable power up and power down modes. The device is capable of outputting frequencies up to 6.25 GHz, with a frequency resolution of 0.1 ppm.
