SL28541BZC is a versatile, programmable frequency generator. Primarily used for clock/timing applications, the device\'s advanced features, low cost and low power consumption make it an ideal choice for embedded applications. The SL28541BZC is a small form factor device that includes a crystal oscillator and output frequency options that range from 1 to 48MHz. It is programmed via on-chip programming pins, allowing customization and flexibility. The device\'s built-in frequency multiplication and division capabilities permit the generation of clock frequencies other than the crystal\'s fundamental frequency. More specifically, the device can generate frequencies that are multiples or fractions of the crystal\'s output frequencies. It supports single-ended and differential LVPECL outputs and programmable output enable, active low. The programming is based upon an internal one-time-configurable SRAM memory. The SL28541BZC has been designed to operate in many applications such as- Clock/Timing distribution in networking, communications, computing and audio/video applications. The SL28541BZC is an ideal solution for resource constrained clock/timing applications. Its small size and comes in a QFP24 package along with significant power savings and a wide output range make it an ideal choice for embedded applications. The device is also compatible with low-delay output types such as HCSL, LVPECL, CML, LVDS and CMOS-compatible models. This makes it suitable for a wide range of frequencies, from low jitter to high-performance parts. The SL28541BZC offers a wide range of features. The main features are multiple PLLs, an adjustable fractional frequency synthesis (FDS) and an adjustable reference frequency. The FDS allows for an adjustable frequency ratio between the input frequency and the output frequency, with a maximum of 256 or 128. This allows designers to easily create a wide range of output frequencies that are fractions of a reference frequency. The SL28541BZC also includes an adjustable reference frequency. This allows designers to tailor their output frequency to their specific application’s needs. Additionally, because of the internal PLLs, this device offers low jitter operation, making it ideal for high-performance applications. The internal registers of the device include a programmable thresholds that can be used to recognize high and low transitions on the input signals. When a high transition is detected, the device selects the next output frequency, while the low transition applies the already programmed frequency to the output. Other features include an output frequency tracker, programmable output clock skew, programmable spread spectrum clock and an adjustable pullup drive. In summary, the SL28541BZC is an ideal solution for embedded clock/timing applications. It offers a wide range of features including adjustable output frequency, PLL multiplication/division, adjustable reference frequency, programmable output clock skew and pullup drive capabilities.
