The device can generate a clock frequency of up to 180 MHz, with programmable output frequencies from a range of selectable quartz crystals or differential and single-ended inputs.The device incorporates an array of output options, including a master clock output (MCLK), two fractional clock outputs (FCLKs), a spread-spectrum clock output (SCLK), a sync output (SYNC) and an option to bypass the PLL for use as a clock generator with low-noise and low-power applications.The SL28SRC01BZI uses an advanced analog design to achieve high-performance clock generation with minimal power consumption and excellent noise immunity. The device features a phase-lock loop (PLL) that locks onto an input frequency and multiplies the frequency for use as a stable, low-jitter output clock. The PLL uses a VCO to generate a stable clock frequency with minimal noise and jitter. The VCO is configurable with an external crystal or an external reference clock to allow configuration of the desired output frequencies. The PLL also includes an output divider to divide the output frequency to generate a variety of output clocks.Additionally, the SL28SRC01BZI includes an adjustable spread-spectrum feature, which is used to reduce the peak-to-peak jitter in clock signals.
