Working Principle:

SLD10U-022-B is a two-terminal transient voltage suppression diode. It offers superior peak power capability and fast response in response to transient over voltage events. It utilizes a voltage sensor element integrated within the package, that senses and responds to voltage spikes beyond the specified threshold within nanoseconds. Once the voltage spikes rises beyond the specified threshold level, the TVS diode breaks down and clamps the signal to a safe level. This process helps protect the device, or data line, downstream from the TVS diode from transient over-voltage damage.

The SLD10U-022-B TVS-Diode comes with an integrated soft recovery feature which generates a soft recovery transient event. This recovers the device and the data line back to the normal operating voltages. This feature helps to reduce the risks of data corruption or data loss that can occur due to heavy clamping by other transient suppression devices.

In addition to the above features, the SLD10U-022-B also provides an integrated ESD protection. This protects the device, or data line, from Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) which helps to reduce the risk of damage or malfunction due to ESD events.
