This capacitor is an axial-lead capacitor, meaning that it has two leads that exit along the longitudinal axis of the capacitor.

Within the SLP472M035A5P3, two aluminum foils are separated by an absorbent paper soaked in a liquid electrolyte. The aluminum foils are etched with a pattern of concentric rectangles to provide the required surface area for the effective capacitance value. This capacitor offers a capacitance value of 47μF, with a ripple current of 3.5A RMS and a rated voltage of 63V DC.

The working principle of the SLP472M035A5P3 is based off of its design.
