The SN74LVC1G66 is a universal analog switch designed to operate from a single 3V to 3.6V power source. It is well suited for mobile and battery powered applications, and has a total quiescent current of less than 0.4mA. This low current consumption allows for extended battery life when compared to traditional designs.
The SN74LVC1G66 is a widely used multiplexer/demultiplexer IC that can be used to route analog signals between multiple external devices. This feature works by maintaining the same state of all its pins in the low-power mode and latching them in the high-power mode. This enables the user to power down the device when it is not in use and drastically reduce overall power consumption. This feature also allows the user to switch from a low-power to a high-power mode without any additional control signals.
