SP488CT-L/TR: Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers
The SP488CT-L/TR is a four-channel interface-driven, receiver, transceiver, motor gate driver and power amplifier integrated circuit. It features a low-power, low-frequency transmission (LFT) function to provide accurate and reliable data transmission in automotive safety and convenience applications.The principal components of the SP488CT-L/TR are the driver, receiver, transceiver and the power amplifier. The driver is designed to supply the necessary power to the four independent I/O channels (I/O0~I/O3). The driver is powered by the four power rails VDD –VDD being the negative rails, VDDS and VDDM being the positive rails, and VCCMS being the return path for the signals. The four channels are independently adjustable via a POT terminal. Each channel can produce four levels of output current ranging from 0.5A~ 7.5A.The receiver section of the SP488CT-L/TR can detect the received digital signals and convert them into the corresponding digital logic levels. It is possible to individually adjust each receiver\'s sensitivity and recovery time via the POT terminal. The transceiver portion of the SP488CT-L/TR is designed to send out data signals and receive signals from other devices. The transceiver supports both parallel and serial transmission of data. The power amplifier portion is designed to provide the maximum power output required to drive the four I/O channels.The SP488CT-L/TR supports the Low-Frequency Signal Transmission (LFT) protocol, which is designed to provide a low-power, low-bandwidth link for safety and convenience systems. The LFT protocol is a dual-rate, clock-synchronous protocol that operates at signaling rates of up to 200kHz. The link transmits data using an 8-bit/word encoding, allowing up to 256 possible data words to be transmitted.The SP488CT-L/TR supports a wide range of advanced features. These include impedance matching, voltage isolation, thermal management, ESD protection, and reverse polarity protection.
