Working Principle

The SP691ACT-L is based on a voltage detector integrated circuit. It works by sensing the system’s power supply rail voltage and comparing it to a preset threshold. If the rail voltage drops below the threshold, it outputs a rigorous low active-high reset signal to the system.

The device also includes on-chip voltage preregulation so that the system power rail voltage stays within an optimal range. This helps to ensure proper system functioning and prevents data corruption or application malfunction.
