The ST202ECTR is an integrated circuit developed by STMicroelectronics, in the industrial communications field. This device is a transceiver comprised of two full transceivers, two line drivers, two line receivers, and a 8 bits Micro-Controller Unit (MCU). By implementing fast switching and coreless twisting, ST202ECTR enables improved communication performance over a wide range of applications, including industrial automation, data exchanges, real-time machine monitoring, telemetry, and railway and system vehicle control.
ST202ECTR’s transceivers feature CMOS, PECL and TTL logic levels, making the device suitable for many applications. The ST202ECTR transceivers are typically used in Full-Duplex mode, allowing for simultaneous transmission and reception of data. This mode is accomplished by using two sets of data lines, one for transmitting data and the other for receiving data. The device also operates in Half-Duplex mode, enabling single directional communication over 2 lines. In Half-Duplex mode, one set of data lines is used for both transmitting and receiving data.
