SX15ASMT is an advanced-generation differential pressure transducer widely used in the medical, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, and other various general process control industries. It is specifically designed for monitoring the difference in pressure in two systems over a wide range of applications, such as liquid and gas pressure sensing, fuel tank level monitoring, and so on.The SX15ASMT uses a thin-film strain gauge bonded to the diaphragm of high strength stainless steel as its sensing element. The strain gauge, coupled with an advanced ASIC electronics design, allows the SX15ASMT to have astronomical back pressure capability and superior performance over a wide temperature range.The SX15ASMT provides excellent stability and accuracy over a wide temperature range. Its temperature compensated output offers accurate temperature compensation up to 70°C. The SX15ASMT also offers a wide variety of electrical output options, from 4-20mA and 0-5 to 10 VDC, to analog linear voltage outputs. It is easily interfaced with microprocessor based systems and is generally user-programmable.Furthermore, the SX15ASMT has an intelligent digital calibration technique designed to adapt to the customer’s environment. This calibration allows the SX15ASMT to reduce system downtime and improve calibration accuracy and cost savings.In terms of its working principle, the SX15ASMT is a passive transducer. That is, it gets its operating power from the signal source supplying it with the differential pressure. The low-noise amplification circuit of the transducer segments the strain gauge’s electric charges into digital bits and transmits them to a microprocessor. This microprocessor, in turn, processes the bits and calculates the differential pressure, producing a digital output value that describes the pressure difference between the two systems.The SX15ASMT is built for versatile applications in fields that are demanding in terms of their level of performance and accuracy. It is an attractive solution for measuring differential pressure in the medical, aerospace, automotive and semiconductor industries, and in other various general process control industries.
