SY88722VKG is a high-performance member of Pulse Width Modulation and Intelligent Power Modulation (PWM/IPM) family of pulse-width modulation (PWM) and Intelligent Power Modulation (IPM) integrated circuit (IC) for driving laser diodes. It belongs to the segment of power management and integrated circuits (PMIC - Laser Drivers) and it is used in a variety of applications, such as cameras, medical devices, laser vision correction and automotive applications. The SY88722VKG can be used in typical laser diode driver circuits as well as in motor control, line modulation and AC/DC power control applications. It has been designed to provide a reliable source of logic level pulse width modulation (PWM) as well as variable frequency and current control to drive laser diodes. The SY88722VKG is an ideal device for applications that need advanced, high-performance and high-efficiency laser diode drivers. The SY88722VKG provides several features and benefits that make it suitable for a wide range of applications. The device offers an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it suitable for automotive applications, industrial applications, and any other environment where extreme temperatures are encountered. The device also features over-temperature protection, over-voltage protection, and under-voltage protection, providing added safety and reliability when used in high-power applications. The SY88722VKG also includes an illuminated thermal sensor that is compatible with laser diodes and provides an indication of the temperature of the laser diode. This feature is particularly useful in applications where it is not feasible to directly measure the temperature of the laser diode due to physical constraints.
