TARR475K020 is a molded SMD tantalum capacitor that has a cylindrical design with a solid Sn/Pb or Pb-free termination and a monolithic dielectric element. The finely etched tantalum anode and cathode electrodes are bonded by heat and pressure assuring a highly reliable joint. The anode and cathode of the dielectric element is then encapsulated in a Polymer material ensuring a low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and a tight tolerance for high voltage, temperature, and frequency applications.

The TARR475K020 uses a polymeric cathode layer made of poly-phenylene sulfide (PPS) for perfect compatibility with reflow soldering. This helps provide a faster and more efficient soldering process, thus making it easier to assemble in high-density SMD applications. The TARR475K020 has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and a voltage range of 2.5V to 35V for a capacitance range of 4.7µF to 47µF that ensures reliable performance in a wide range of applications.
