PMIC, or Power Management Integrated Circuits, are integrated circuits that regulate power usage and power distribution throughout a device and are typically utilized in all but the most basic of electronic devices. A Gate Driver is a type of PMIC that provides the power and control signals necessary to switch power MOSFET and IGBT gates, as well as other related components. The TC1413NEUA is a popularly employed gate driver PMIC of this type.

In addition, the built-in frequency foldback circuit can dynamically adjust the driving frequency between a certain minimum and maximum, which will cut down on power dissipation.
The TC1413NEUA is designed to function optimally within the operating temperature range of -40 to 125°C, when given a range of between 4.5V and 26V and is recommended for use with FETs in the logic-level voltage range. With a very small form-factor, (TSOT23-perspective, SSOT-5) the TC1413NEUA is perfect for any space-constrained application and can easily be placed on a populated circuit board.
