Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are capacitors whose anode consists of aluminum foil covered with aluminum oxide. They are polarized components, meaning they have a positive and a negative terminal. TC70s are miniature surface-mount cans with rated working voltages of 6.3V up to 600V, with capacitances ranging from 33µF to 47µF. 

These devices are commonly used in many electronic applications due to their high energy storage capacity, low impedance, high insulation resistance, and low leakage current. They are particularly suitable for applications requiring high capacitance and relatively high voltages and are primarily used in filtering, smoothing, and decoupling circuits.

TC70s are characterized by a lower Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) than normal aluminum electrolytic capacitors and are ideal for use in narrow band frequency range applications. The lower ESR also makes the TC70s more stable over a wide range of temperatures and humidity conditions, which is important in high-reliability applications. Additionally, the TC70s feature a low-profile design and are able to withstand temperatures up to 125°C. 

When it comes to their working principles, aluminum electrolytic capacitors are typically activated by the electrochemical reaction between the aluminum oxide and the electrolyte, which both act as a dielectric. The applied voltage creates an electric field between the anode and the cathode which causes electrical charge to be stored in the capacitor. This stored charge is referred to as capacitance and is measured in Farads.

The TC70s also have an added advantage of low equivalent series inductance, which reduces the amount of parasitic capacitances. This feature makes them ideal for high-frequency applications, as they can handle higher frequencies than standard aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Furthermore, the TC70s have a wide range of operating temperatures, which makes them suitable for use in diverse environments ranging from extreme temperatures to ones with high humidity.

Overall, TC70s are widely used in a variety of applications due to their high energy storage capacity, low ESR, and low equivalent series inductance. These features make them ideal for use in applications requiring high capacitance and relatively high voltages.
