The TC75S56FUTE85LF is a 3.3V Low Power Comparator from the company\'s line of High Performance Comparators. The TC75S56FUTE85LF Comparator is designed with a differential input voltage up to 5V and operates on a 3.3V single supply. It offers an unlimited output voltage range with an operating supply voltage of +3.3V. It has a very high input common-mode rejection ratio of 85 dB, a high speed of response of 1.25 ns, and a low power consumption of only 1 µA. It provides over-voltage protection up to 6.5V.
The TC75S56FUTE85LF Comparator is well suited for use in applications such as Industrial, Consumer, Automotive and Medical sensing, as well as digital communication systems such as Optical Networking systems, Cellular Base Stations, and High-speed Dynamic Tuning. It can also be used in switching circuits, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) circuits and Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (Designated as VCO), for sensing signals and detecting boundaries of digital values in motion control.
The Working Principle of the TC75S56FUTE85LF is based upon two inputs A and B. When the two inputs are of opposite sign the output of the comparator transitions from one state to another. A differential input voltage can be applied to the two inputs, with the voltage ranging from 0 to +/–VCC. When the input A is greater than input B, then the output of the comparator is set to Vss, or low state, while when input A is less than B, then the output of the comparator is set to VCC, or high state. The output is volatile and responds instantly to even a small change in the input voltage.
