TCA9517DR is a standard logic translator and level shifter of the Texas Instruments LPCTM family. It provides the user with a low power option with speeds up to 3.3V and is designed to meet the requirements of wide range power requirements. It is capable of interfacing and translating both CMOS and TTL logic families.

The TCA9517DR is a 16-pin device which includes 5 basic components: four full bridge NAND gates, one XOR gate, and a latch for status flags. The four full bridge NAND gates are used to provide logic level translation from one logic family to another. The XOR gate is used to detect logic levels from either logic family. Lastly, the latch is used to store the output and status flags. This allows the device to provide the user with a low power, high functionality logic solution for their applications.
