Optoisolators, also known as optocouplers or photographs couplers, are optoelectronic components that are used to isolate electrically-coupled circuits, or reduce the coupling of signals from one area of a system to another. The most common type of optoisolator is the Transistor, Photovoltaic Output (TCET1101), which provides a high level of electrical isolation between the two sides.
