Optoisolators, also called optocouplers, are electronic components designed to provide an electrical connection between two parts of a circuit while isolating them from each other. The TCLT1006 is an optoisolator that uses a transistor, photovoltaic output to provide a quasi-continuous, wide-bandwidth communication path with up to 1000 centimeters isolation across a wide input voltage range.
The TCLT1006 features an optically activated transistor output, which is controlled by an input of a light-source power supply.
