Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are components used to store electrical energy for energy access. They are one of the most commonly used capacitors because of their relatively low cost. TE1507-E3 is one type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a nominal capacitance of 150μF and an allowed ripple current of 7.2Arms. Working Principle of TE1507-E3
TE1507-E3 works by storing electrical charge on its two parallel surfaces. Its anode is made of aluminium, which makes electric current flow through it more easily than other metals. Through this, it is able to store an electrical charge, called capacitance. As a result, electricity is stored and can be released when the capacitor is discharged. The voltage applied across the capacitor creates an electric field, which builds on the capacitance. The higher the electric field, the greater the charge stored in the capacitor, and the greater the energy stored.
The TE1507-E3 capacitor uses an electrolyte between its electrodes to allow for conductivity between them.
