Additionally, due to its stability and accurate reverse breakdown voltage, this diode is commonly used for stabilizing voltage, protecting the circuit from overcurrent, and limiting the forward voltage. The other main use of this diode is when it works in reverse-bias condition where it only permits a low current which results in low power dissipation.
