Working Principle

The TISP7165H3SL is a BIPOLAR DOUBLE SPARK suppression device with a symmetric structure, consisting of an anode, cathode and gate. This arrangement allows the device to trigger and conduct current in both directions. When exposed to high voltage transients, the TISP7165H3SL will trigger and the current will either be shorted to the cathode or diverted through the anode and gate. This ensures that the surge current is diverted safely away from sensitive equipment, thus protecting the equipment from damage.
