Working Principle

The TLP124 optoisolator consists of two main parts: the input side and the output side. On the input side, the device has an LED which is powered by an input voltage. The LED emits light when the input is higher than a certain reference voltage, and the output side contains an optimized high-gain phototransistor with high response speed. The phototransistor amplifies the signal from the LED on the input side, resulting in a higher output from the optoisolator.
