The package is RoHS compliant and will not contribute to environmental pollution. The package is also designed to withstand up to 1000V surge voltage for Hypertherm filament protection.

The TLP26A comes with two different working principle configurations. The Unidirectional configuration (TVS) is designed to protect against overvoltage and ESD and requires an external power source, while the Bidirectional configuration (TVSPD) is designed to protect against overvoltage, ESD, and Lightning and does not require an external source. Both configurations come with a maximum standoff voltage of up to 26V and a maximum clamping voltage of up to 16V.
