The TLP3558A (F) is a phototriac solid state relay specifically designed for high power switching applications. Because the current is limited to a safe level, and the TRIAC’s switching speed is very fast, it is also an ideal solution in safety-critical applications.
Because the TLP3558A (F) relies on a photo-cusp transistor, it is inherently much faster and more reliable than electromechanical relays. Its extremely low trigger voltage (less than 2V) and low power dissipation make it well suited for low voltage, high-current switching applications.
