Data Acquisition – Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) are an essential component of modern electronics. In order to interface between analog signals used in most applications and digital computers and processors, an ADC is required to convert the analog signal into a digital signal. The TLV0831CD is a 10-bit ADC designed for applications in telecom, automotive, industrial and medical applications. It has a typical conversion time of 95 ns and is capable of operating at both 3V and 5V supplies, allowing it to be powered from both low-voltage and full-voltage systems.

The TLV0831CD was designed to operate from either a 3V or 5V supply and to use a simple interface for fast, efficient conversion. It is a 10-bit ADC, with 12-bit resolution for the least significant bit (LSB). The TLV0831CD contains an internal reference voltage (VREF) and programmable reference offset (VOS) which allows for adjustments to the input range and accuracy of the conversion. The reference voltage can be adjusted to suit the application, allowing for 0-5V input range. The offset voltage can be used to compensate for large errors, small variations in input voltage or offset errors in the analog input signal.
