The TLV2544QDRG4 is an eight-channel, high-precision analog-to-digital converter designed to support applications in the areas of data acquisition, image sensing, medical imaging, instrumentation, power-management, and process control. It is ideal for applications that require high resolution, low-noise performance, and flexibility. The TLV2544QDRG4 features a 16-bit conversion resolution (±1LSB maximum) over an input voltage range from ±2.5V to ±10V. It has a maximum offset error of 0.25LSB, drift of 0.4μV/°C, gain error of 0.8%, settling time of 16 μs, and noise of 2.5μV RMS.
The TLV2544QDRG4 is an integrated solution, allowing designers to reduce development time with all components housed together in a single package. It offers 6-bit digital input construction (DIC) for precise control of conversion timing, adjustment of the gain and offset, precise control of the analog input voltage, and other control functions. The device also has an integrated temperatured compensated digital control loop that helps maintain and correct any errors in the analog input range, offset and gain elements. The TLV2544QDRG4 is suitable for cable, microphone and capacitive sensing type applications.
The TLV2544QDRG4 supports both asynchronous and synchronous operation. When operating in synchronous mode, the device samples up to 4 channels at a sampling rate of 24kHz, resulting in a maximum aggregate rate of 96kHz. Each channel supports a different conversion range, allowing for flexible input scaling and transcoding of analog data into digital data. The device supports a wide range of power supplies, including 3.3V and 5V operating supplies, and 4 different power pins and an independent ground pin, allowing the designer to spread the load and minimize noise.
