The TLV320AIC3111 integrated audio codec is a high-performance monolithic device designed for high quality portable audio applications that require line inputs and headphone outputs. It comprises an input pre-amplifier, two transmitters, two receivers, and a digital audio interface. The 6th order Delta-Sigma modulator provides high resolution with an SNR of 90dB across the playback frequency range. The adaptive input stage can be programmed to one of four gain ranges and achieves a THD+N of -107dB. The headphone drivers provide a THD+N of 98dB and additional headroom to ensure low THD+N. The headphone drivers are capable of driving up to 65mW into a 16ohm load.
The TLV320AIC3111 is an ideal audio codec solution for a wide range of portable audio applications including mobile phones, portable digital media players and cellular handsets. It can be used in applications where line and headphone outputs are required, such as UC&C, streaming media and audio monitoring equipment.
The TLV320AIC3111 integrates two receiver (RX) and two transmitter (TX) channels, each with a programmable input/output voltage range from 0.25 to 4V. The RX/TX signal ranges are optimized for maximum signal fidelity. The integrated master control enables each RX/TX to protect against signal clipping or overloading. The integrated PLL and clock signal management logic provide flexible and precise control over sample rate and data format.
The TLV320AIC3111 integrated audio codec includes a low-noise digital-to-analog (DAC) converter with a 24-bit resolution, a low-noise analog-to-digital (ADC) converter with a 20-bit resolution and a sample rate of up to 48 kHz. The integrated analog mixer and filter block provides selectable analog input and output routing between the DAC and ADC. The integrated power management and control logic supports a wide range of audio operating modes, including sleep, mute, and auto power-down, reducing system power consumption.
The TLV320AIC3111 integrates an embedded programmable digital signal processor (DSP) and utilizes a unique set of advanced algorithms to provide a wide range of signal processing functions, including dynamic range compression, multi-channel mastering, peak compression and 10-band parametric equalization. Additional features include independent control of microphone gain, sample rate and source select.
The TLV320AIC3111 supports a wide range of digital and analog interfaces, including I2S, TDM and PDM. Variable sample rates up to 48 kHz are supported. The TDM interface supports up to 4 peripherals, with a 32-bit depth for each peripheral. The integrated clock signal management logic also supports a variety of sample frequencies and multiple clock formats.
