Overshoot adjustment helps to eliminate any sudden surges in output when the temperature is being adjusted to the setpoint temperature. Deadband adjustment is used to control the total range over which the temperature will be maintained, while hysteresis adjustment helps to determine how quickly the system will adjust to maintain the temperature close to the setpoint temperature.
