The TMD2772EVM is an evaluation module for a ON Semiconductor family of Proximity, Ambient Light, and RGB Color digital light sensors. This module helps users easily evaluate and demonstrate the performance of TMD2772. The module consists of ten components. The main component is the TMD2772 itself, which is the first integrated Proximity, Ambient Light, and RGB Color digital Sensor in a single very small optical package. Other components include a single channel LEDs, three photo transistors, multi-position switches, logic decoder, MCP79510 timekeeping IC, and a microcontroller for communication and data collection.

The TMD2772EVM comes with a sensing distance of up to 4 cm and an accuracy of ±1 cm in ambient light. It has a wide operating temperature range (-40 to 85 °C). The module has a power requirement of 3.3 V and supports I2C, SMBus, and UART communications.
