The TPS2359RHHR is a Hot Swap controller designed to provide power and thermal control to devices connected to the board. It is a part of a family of Hot Swap products designed to allow devices to be hot-swappable under a wide variety of board voltages.The TPS2359RHHR specifically is a dual-channel, low-side and high-side Hot Swap controller. It contains two channels of Hot Swap and power control, allowing power to be delivered to two different channels simultaneously. It is equipped with two discrete high-side PMOS and two discrete low-side NMOS devices, allowing current limiting to be set up in each direction. This product also provides an on-board temperature sensor for monitoring device temperatures for thermal event control.The two channels can be programmed differently to provide flexibility when different loads must be connected. The high-side and low-side channels are independent, allowing the user to set up different current limits and pull-up voltage levels. Pull-up voltage levels on the low-side channel can be adjusted between 1 and 4.5V, while the high-side channel can be adjusted between 4.5 and 25V. This allows the device to accurately control power delivery to each channel.When a board requires Hot Swap functionality, the TPS2359RHHR provides an easy to integrate solution for controlling power and thermal events. In addition, the flexibility of the voltage range allows it to be used in a wide variety of applications.
