This prevents boards from being over-powered, which could damage sensitive components.In addition to over-current protection, the TPS2391DGKRG4 also provides over-voltage and under-voltage protection (OVP/UVP) to ensure reliable power delivery and prevent damage to sensitive components. The integrated OVP/UVP protection is factory-programmed and hardware-based.
