The TPS24770RGET is a high performance Hot Swap controller integrated circuit, specifically designed to enable safe insertion and removal of up to 48V dc inputs in hot pluggable systems. It provides protection to the system by actively controlling inrush currents and hot plugging inductive loads and preventing reverse current flow.

The device includes internal power MOSFET andprogrammable current limit that enable control over the inrush current, as well as an over-voltageprotection (OVP)level detectable by the system.
